the new album is great. under the direction of Dapkings guitarist Tommy Brenneck and includes a grip load of top notch musicians from the Daptone camp. very
chilled Marvin Gaye-esque ala motor city/afro style instrumentals. really soulful material. check out the track "The Contender." very, very nice.

On the real, the vibes are soulful. check out the new album: http://www.myspace.com/dunhamrecords I especially dig that they cover "Going the Distance" by Conti. It's more like an extended version. Original was on the Rocky Soundtrack. Then, on the flip is the joint "The Contender" which to me personally, is the choice cut of the LP. Honestly. It's got this kind of Funk deepness and horn arrangement that makes you feel like you just won that battle at the line.. huh? well, maybe not that fresh, but it's choice haha! JJ-
