what up family. i'm trying to put together a jam for you all on Feb 14th...and i was curious what you all wanted to see or if anybody wanted to help out. we have a venue at the sister lodge in North Park during Ray @ Night [a monthly neighborhood art walk] and also during an event called "CA Guy Jam"...which is basically a weekend workshop dedicated to vintage jazz dances such as the lindy hop, charleston, etc etc.[what we do with bboying...but for jazz] i kinda wanted to expose us to a new dance community, as well as show other dancers what we're all about.
so with that said, feb 14 i was originally planning bboy+bgirl bonnie & clyde team battles...but i don't know if the turnout would be great because of our low population of bgirls.[or maybe i'm not aware of all the bgirls in SD?] so yeah...i kinda wanna make this a party for jazz dancers and bboys to dance, jam, and mingle. bring your valentines dates, etc etc.....would you guys be down for this? or should i throw in some sort of battle in the mix?
so yeah...i'm open to suggestions..

p.s. you should see some of the charleston-ers get down...i was jamming with this one guy earlier this year...and his charleston looked ALOT like a toprock...
p.s.s. here's a link to the CA Guy Jam website: http://www.girljam.us/guyjam/2009/
p.s.s.s. the following month there is a CA Girl Jam too
