Peace!
We've been throwing park jams all summer long and am down to our final two for 2010!

Aug. 24 & 31:
Digger's Delight - everyone rocking their rarest and funkiest
5-9pm Free All Ages St. Nicholas Park 135th & St. Nicholas Ave Harlem
http://www.stnicholaspark.org and http://www.myspace.com/toolsofwar
Trains B or C to 135th St. take you right there to the park!
This Tues. Aug. 24 features:
J.Rocc (Beat Junkies), DJ Jazzy Jay, Bobbito and DJ Lean Rock
from 5-9pm - usually the DJs rotate with 1/2 hour sets - rocking twice.
Following the jam is a free performance by J.Rocc megamixing Timeless films til 10pm!

Tuesday Aug. 31st features:
DJ Scratch, Forrest Getemgump and Miss Shing-A-Ling (who usually rocks all rare 45s from her collection and used to write Big Daddy magazine (diggin mag that was way before Wax Poetics) ALSO - Large Professor says he'll be on standby to spin if the DJ I have penciled in doesn't make it!
It is all about the DJs at our jams - but so much else is going on in the park! Legends and pioneers and known artists repping each element in Hip Hop are there (if you own the book "Born in the Bronx" you should bring it with a Sharpie for signatures).
GrandMaster Caz hosts. I can't really describe it for what it really is - but especially - it's community of all ages and backgrounds coming together - some from Harlem and the BX - others from Poland, Russia, elsewhere in Europe, Japan, etc! Wacky stuff happens.
I hope you can make it - don't be afraid to come past 42nd or 96th
- it's a good time and a safe place - the police on detail even bring their own vinyl and tshirts to have legends sign!
Here's the whole album of pics that I've posted so far - start from the very end for the most recent.
